Jake's Cottage is closer than you think...

We are just 3½ hours by train from London, 50 minutes from Edinburgh Airport, 1¾ hours from Newcastle and accessible by either the A1, the A7, the A68 or the A697. That's easily close enough to have a short stay without all the enjoyment being destroyed by the journey.
